Else
Anx has just met Cass when a mysterious virus breaks out: everywhere, people’s bodies are merging with objects. Stuck in their apartment, the couple must face this dreadful threat.
Why it matters
A claustrophobic body horror descent that fuses intimate relationship drama with grotesque, surreal infection.
- Merges the emotional tension of a couple’s early bond with escalating physical terror, grounding cosmic body horror in human vulnerability.
- Practical and digital effects collide to create unsettling, tactile mutations that recall Cronenberg’s worst nightmares with a modern twist.
- For fans of micro-budget horror that channels pandemic anxieties through visceral, personal storytelling.
- A slow-burn atmosphere thick with dread, where the apartment’s confinement becomes a pressure cooker for both love and monstrosity.
