Anything but Ghosts

Curry Barker's 'Anything but Ghosts' promises a fresh twist on the found-footage ghosthunter trope with a meta, self-aware edge.

• Why it matters: Barker, known for his indie horror savvy, steps up with a cast blending emerging talent and established names like Bryce Dallas Howard, signaling a hybrid indie-studio approach.
• What we know: The plot centers on fame-chasing ghosthunters whose overreach leads to chaotic supernatural terror, tapping into our cultural obsession with viral fame and paranormal exploitation.
• Who's involved: Directed by Curry Barker, who also stars alongside Cooper Tomlinson, Violet McGraw, Chris Reinacher, and Bryce Dallas Howard, bridging genre indie and mainstream appeal.
• The buzz: Early festival whispers praise Barker’s sharp writing and effective practical effects, suggesting 'Anything but Ghosts' could carve a niche among post-2010s meta-haunted house fare.
