Outpost
After a violent attack, a woman searches for strength in the solitude of a lookout job, but is overwhelmed by something darker.
Why it matters
A slow-burning psychological horror that uses isolation to explore trauma’s lingering shadows.
- Anchored by a raw, grounded performance that sells every moment of dread without cheap scares.
- The lookout tower setting channels classic cabin-in-the-woods unease with a modern, minimalist twist.
- Fans of atmospheric, character-driven horror—think Ti West’s patience meets Jennifer Kent’s emotional depth.
- Not for those craving gore or jump scares; this one’s about creeping, internal horror that gnaws at the psyche.
