Feed
A group of social media experts are hired to help an old family business to strive. But they soon find themselves stuck on a tiny island in a lake in which an ancient Swedish witch is said to live.
Why it matters
A modern slasher rooted in Scandinavian folklore, Feed blends influencer culture with an ancient witch legend for a familiar-but-fleshed-out horror outing.
- Rustic Swedish setting and local myth add atmospheric weight beyond the typical isolated slasher cabin.
- Sharp social commentary on influencer superficiality grounds the carnage in contemporary anxieties.
- Practical gore effects deliver on visceral thrills, even if the narrative beats lean on genre staples.
- Best for fans who appreciate atmospheric folk horror tinged with slasher brutality, minus surprises.
