Seed of Chucky
This time around, Chucky and his homicidal honey, Tiffany, are brought back to life by their orphan offspring, Glen. Then the horror goes Hollywood as Chucky unleashes his own brand of murderous mayhem!
Why it matters
Chucky’s blood-soaked family reunion doubles down on campy comedy, turning the slasher icon into a full-on horror farce with a twisted Hollywood backdrop.
- Fully embraces comedy over scares — a pivot that alienates some but rewards fans of genre-bending gore and absurdity
- Glen/Glenda, the confused offspring, adds a bizarre gender-bending twist that pushes the franchise’s boundary-pushing streak
- Practical effects and puppetry maintain that tactile charm, even if the script trades subtlety for shock laughs
- For horror fans craving a guilty pleasure that upends slasher tropes with self-aware silliness and splatter set pieces
