Thrash
When a catastrophic hurricane slams a coastal town, stranded residents must survive rapidly rising waters swarming with ravenous sharks.
Why it matters
A relentless survival thriller that traps its characters in an apocalyptic floodwaterscape where sharks are the least of their worries.
- Tense, oppressive sound design builds dread before a fin ever slices the water’s surface.
- Strips disaster horror to its bare essentials—no heavy-handed themes, just raw, brutal survival.
- For fans of elemental terror who want shark horror without the usual Jaws echoes.
- Lacks memorable characters and directorial flair, but practical effects and atmosphere keep it watchable.
