L.A. Slasher
Driven to rage over the tawdry excesses of reality television, a self-appointed cultural crusader kidnaps several very famous nobodies to make his point- but his crimes only generate more tabloid frenzy.
Why it matters
A neon-soaked slasher satire that skewers reality TV culture with a blade as sharp as its social critique.
- A rare horror flick that doubles as a biting commentary on celebrity obsession and media voyeurism.
- Lean, punchy kills mixed with a glossy, L.A. aesthetic that captures our selfie-obsessed age’s darkest underbelly.
- Perfect for fans of genre hybrids who want their gore served with a side of cultural indictment — think *Scream* meets *The Social Network*.
- Not flawless—the satire sometimes stumbles under its own ambition—but its unsettling questions about fame’s price linger long after the credits roll.
