Crocodile 2: Death Roll

2002 ·1h 29m · ★ 5.1 (100)

After a bank robbery, four criminals escape to Mexico, but a storm causes an accident which takes down the plane where several die in the crash. The criminals take it into their own hands to continue when one survivor is attacked and eaten by a crocodile. The criminals kill it, but from then on the mother Crocodile is on a killing spree with a goal to kill each survivor. But that is not the only worry, because they're trapped within it's world, and if it doesn't kill them, the criminals will.

Why it matters

A grimy, grindhouse-style swamp creature feature where human monsters face off against a relentless apex predator.

  • Lean into the sleazy bank robber antiheroes trapped in a claustrophobic, murky wilderness — a survival thriller with moral rot.
  • Practical effects on the croc deliver grubby, tactile chomps over CGI gloss, a nod to ’90s creature feature traditions.
  • For fans of low-budget creature flicks who appreciate atmosphere over polish and can stomach a torrent of profanity.
  • Falls short on pacing and character depth but offers enough pulpy carnage to satisfy appetite for swamp-bound horror chaos.
