Lake Placid 3
A game warden moves his family to Lake Placid, once the site of deadly crocodile attacks. Locals assure him the crocs are gone, but his mischievous young son finds a few baby crocs and begins feeding them. They quickly grow into very big adults and start attacking the game warden's family and nearby town.
Why it matters
A middling creature feature that leans into campy croc chaos with a familiar family-in-peril setup.
- Practical croc effects give way to notably cheesy CGI, a sore spot for practical effects purists.
- Colin Ferguson and Yancy Butler provide some dry humor, injecting moments of charm amid the predictable plot.
- For fans of the crocogator subgenre and low-stakes monster flicks, it delivers the expected thrills without surprises.
- Falls short on tension and originality, but its easygoing tone makes it a decent background watch for casual horror marathons.
