Why it matters
A brooding Scandinavian slasher that blends haunted boarding school folklore with claustrophobic suspense and a creeping sense of dread.
- Exemplifies Nordic horror’s knack for atmosphere over gore, with icy visuals and a slow-burning chill.
- Perfect for fans of ritualistic curses and ghostly revenge tales rooted in generational sins.
- The school setting doubles as a character—its cold halls and shadowy corners heighten paranoia and isolation.
- While the pacing can drag, the payoff in unsettling revelations and effective practical effects rewards patient viewers.
