Haunted
हॉन्टेड
A real estate agent traveling to a haunted mansion in Himachal Pradesh time-travels to 1936 to save a young woman from a rapist spirit who has kept her soul trapped in the house for decades.
Why it matters
A haunted house tale that leans hard into supernatural time-travel for a twist on possession horror.
- Practical effects and eerie atmosphere deliver classic haunted mansion chills, despite some uneven CGI.
- The time-loop element adds a fresh layer, blending ghost story with a low-key sci-fi angle.
- Director Vikram Bhatt embraces Bollywood-style melodrama, making it a unique East-meets-West genre mashup.
- Perfect for fans curious about international horror that mixes traditional ghost lore with genre staples.
